Some campaigns land in your inbox, and you just know they’re going to be exciting. That was the case when the Mark Hill team reached out about an undercover influencer collaboration they were planning to launch.
They’d been watching my Forecast Files, my investigative series where I predict brand and influencer launches based on online clues and asked me to bring that same energy to their next reveal.
Spoiler: I said yes.
Here’s exactly how it went down — and how it led to a series of TikTok’s with over 54,000 views (and counting).
The Mark Hill team sent over this:
“We’ve been obsessed with all the undercover content you’ve been doing on brand launches over the last few months… We’re launching a brand new influencer collab and wondered if you’d be interested in creating a 3-part series trying to uncover who it is.”
I was hooked.
And the best part? They didn’t tell me who it was. I had to figure it out live, just like my audience.
We structured it like a digital treasure hunt:
Friday 23rd Oct – Post 1
I spotted 3 vlogs on the @markhillhair TikTok account and shared my initial theory, speculating based on style, voiceovers, and editing style.
Wednesday 30th Oct – Post 2
With more teasers rolling out, I gave an updated theory and narrowed it down. The community was loving the guessing game.
Monday 4th Nov – Post 3
The big reveal dropped — and it turned out, I was right. The mystery collab? Rachel Leary.
